Critics’ Choice Awards 2019
The Critics’ Choice Awards airs on The CW on Sunday. The CW

When the 24th Annual Critics’ Choice Awards airs Sunday night, the best of the best in TV and film will be honored by the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) and the Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA). That means you’ll not only see some of your favorite actors accept awards, but you’ll also see them shine on the red carpet.

It all goes down during The CW’s live broadcast of the event, from 7 to 10 p.m. EST. Most of that time will be dedicated to the actual affair, but from 7 to 7:20 p.m. EST, the network will be airing a preshow of sorts, which will focus on the 2019 Critics’ Choice Awards celebrity arrivals.

One star you can really expect to see hit the red carpet during tonight’s show is Taye Diggs, as he’s been tapped to host the event.

“We are thrilled to have Taye hosting this year’s ceremony,” BFCA President Joey Berlin said in a press release. “Taye is a star of both film and television, plus his illustrious stage career makes him especially qualified to lead our show. He promises to infuse the Critics’ Choice Awards with his infectious charm and humor, and enrich what already promises to be a memorable night!”

As for the “All American” star, he shared in the press release that he’s “honored and ridiculously excited” to host the 2019 Critics’ Choice Awards.

Get ready to see him head up the event, and all the other talented celebrities, when the red carpet begins at 7 p.m. EST on The CW, with the full 24th Annual Critics’ Choice Awards airing immediately after.
