With Dak Prescott's net worth boosted by sponsorship deals, he is not rushing to sign a new deal with the Dallas Cowboys soon. How does the star quarterback do it?

The Cowboys are paying Prescott $540,000 this season owing to his rookie contract. The meagre salary does not reflect his performance in 2018 where he made his mark and accounted for his team’s 23 touchdowns. Dallas knows it will have to break the bank soon if it wants to keep the prized sophomore.

The quarterback is not worried about his salary as his camp has been aggressively pursuing deals to supplement his league salary. According to ESPN, a lot of brands have reached out to Prescott to represent them. Among the most notable are New Era, Beats by Dre, AT&T, Panini America and DirectTV.

So what actually made these brands trust in the superstar qualities of Dak? The answer could be found in one of his teammates alleged domestic violence incident. ESPN noted that star running back Ezekiel Elliot’s issues off the field forced brands and businesses to look elsewhere and Prescott gained more deals as a consequence. The starting QB is set to earn five times his salary this season with the help of his relationships with corporate brands.

Peter Miller of JABEZ Marketing Group which represents Dak believes says that his client values relationships over just lucrative endorsements. “Nicholas Air, for example, is out of Starkville, where he played his college ball," he added.

Dak Prescott’s salary once his rookie contract is over is expected to fetch $100 million or more. The 26-year-old quarterback will rake in more soon due to licensing royalties, Cheat Sheet reported. Currently, Prescott’s net worth is estimated to be around $2 million, which has improved to his reported net worth two years ago estimated at only $316,000.

The Cowboys locked in several marquee names this season with the signing of Elliot, DeMarcus Lawrence, Jaylon Smith and La’el Collins. The total amount of the contracts signed is at $185.5 million. The team will look to sign Prescott and Amari Cooper this offseason, per ESPN.

The Dallas Cowboys sits atop the NFC East standings with 6-4 win-loss card. Trailing them is the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants and Washington Redskins.
