Which “Dance Moms” stars will return for the new season? We have a few clues! Lifetime/Getty Images

Lifetime isn’t done with the ALDC just yet. Following rumors that “Dance Moms” was headed for a series versus a season finale later this month, the cast is back to filming new episodes of the Lifetime docuseries.

Lifetime confirmed to International Business Times late Wednesday that the show is beginning production on new installments. According to executive producer Bryan Stinson’s Twitter, the series will kick off its latest competition season, which at this time is being considered Season 7B rather than the speculated Season 8, on Saturday in Anaheim, California.

While plans to film are in place, it is unconfirmed which cast members will be returning. Recent social media posts from the cast make it appear longtime stars Nia Sioux, Kendall Vertes and Brynn Rumfallo, as well as Season 7 newcomer Camryn Bridges, will be participating.

Of course, there’s also the highly speculated return of Chloe Lukasiak and her mother, Christi. The mother-daughter duo will make a cameo on the show later this month, but it has not been confirmed if they’ll return for follow-up episodes. Christi has, however, recently teased she and her daughter are in Los Angeles. Lifetime has also been promoting their comeback for several weeks.

Rumors suggest that not everyone is onboard for the series return. Social media posts from Kalani Hilliker and her mother, Kira Girard, suggest they are done with the show. Kalani was noticeably absent from a group shot of the elite girls earlier this week and Kira also fueled rumors about their absence by tweeting, “Sit, look pretty, collect, get fired.”

Coach Abby Lee Miller has also left fans uncertain of her fate on the program. “I was not offered a formal pick up agreement for any more episodes! I wish everyone, cast & crew the best of luck,” she wrote on Instagram in late January. However, on Wednesday night, she shared a photo of the elite team (which included Kalani), prompting speculation she was able to work out her issues with the network.

There is no premiere date for the new “Dance Moms” episodes at this time. Two installments remain in the current season with the finale due to premiere on Feb. 21.
