Stand-up comedian David A. Arnold died at the age of 54 on Wednesday.

Since the tragic news broke, celebrities including stand-up comedians shared their condolences on social media.

Actress Porscha Coleman shared a photo of the late comedian on Twitter, and wrote he was "one of the sweetest souls," who made the world laugh with his "infectious smile" and "comedic brilliance."

Coleman added, "I am so sorry you left us this soon but we will continue to live life and smile bright in your memory."

A fellow stand-up comedian and actor Andra Fuller also shared a post on Twitter, noting it was unbelievable that Arnold died. He went on to share how life is "precious" and one should enjoy "every single minute of it."

"Dave was the host of Chocolate Sundays @ The Laugh Factory when I first moved to LA," Fuller added. "He was one of the most underrated comedians in the game & wrote for a lot of TV shows."

Ghanaian actor Michael Blackson simply wrote, "Rip to my fellow comedian David Arnold," while comedian Benji Brown tweeted, "Always respected and admired his work. Prayers for his family and many friends. One of the good guys in this biz."

Comedian Loni Love simply shared a clip of Arnold's Netflix comedy special, "It Ain't For the Weak" and captioned the post, "He was a comedy genius."

Actress Gabrielle Dennis tweeted how she is "gutted" by the tragic news.

"I'm gutted by the devastating and untimely passing of a good friend in comedy, a super solid dude, a mentor and teacher to many, an overwhelming talented human and a man in love and immensely loved by his family," she wrote. "I will be praying hard for them tonight."

Many online users also shared condolence messages on Twitter.

The condolence messages were flooded on Twitter, after Arnold's family confirmed the death of the comedian by issuing a statement.

"It is with great sadness that we confirm the untimely passing of our husband, father, brother and friend, David A. Arnold," the statement read, as per Deadline. "David passed away peacefully today in his home and doctors have ruled the cause of death due to natural causes."

"Please keep our family in prayer and respect our privacy at this time, as we are all shocked and devastated by this loss," the statement added.
