Another massive hit is being reported when it comes to the “Days of Our Lives” cast, as Victoria Konefal, who portrays Ciara Brady, is allegedly also on her way out at the NBC soap opera.

Fresh off the news that her on-screen mother, Hope, will soon be off-canvas with Kristian Alfonso’s departure after 37 years in her iconic role, it has been reported that Konefal is also leaving the show, though it is unclear when. The actress herself has not confirmed or denied the rumor.

The same Twitter thread which announced that Konefal was departing also indicated that while actors such as Chandler Massey, Freddie Smith and Galen Gering had all been fired when the cast was all released from their contracts in 2019, Alfonso, Konefal and Camila Banus all opted to walk away from the soap instead of signing new ones. Banus has also been rumored to be leaving the show since May after reports surfaced she was making audition tapes, though she took to Twitter at the time to seemingly indicate that she had plans to stay on the daytime drama and was only making tapes because she was an actress.

If Konefal and Banus are also leaving though, they join a long list of the show’s full-time cast that is heading out the door in the coming months. While Casey Moss and Kate Mansi have already both exited as JJ Devereaux and Abigail DiMera and Stacy Haiduk has seemingly gone part-time as Kristen DiMera, fans already knew that Massey (Will Horton), Smith (Sonny Kiriakis), Gering (Rafe Hernandez) and Alfonso all have departures coming up, and their departures all stem from Corday Productions’ controversial decision to release the cast from their contracts last November as they negotiated to get picked up for a new season. At the time it was reported that the cast was released from their contracts in order to potentially decrease their pay, though that has not been explicitly confirmed.

If all six of the aforementioned actors are leaving, it would mean that the soap will be retaining less than 20 full-time main cast members and 10 prominently featured recurring cast members. The only main cast left would be Lamon Archey (Eli), Matthew Ashford (Jack), Mary Beth Evans (Kayla), Lindsey Godfrey (Sarah), Deidre Hall (Marlena), Drake Hogestyn (John), Lauren Koslow (Kate), Wally Kurth (Justin), Eric Martsolf (Brady), Stephen Nichols (Steve), Melissa Reeves (Jennifer), James Reynolds (Abe), Suzanne Rogers (Maggie), Sal Stowers (Lani), Josh Taylor (Roman), Paul Telfer (Xander), Greg Vaughan (Eric), Robert Scott Wilson (Ben) and Arianne Zucker (Nicole). The prominent recurring cast members would include John Aniston (Victor), Brandon Barash (Jake/Stefan), Bryan Dattilo (Lucas), Billy Flynn (Chad), Haiduk, Bill Hayes (Doug), Olivia Rose Keegan (Claire), Emily O’Brien (Gwen), Susan Seaforth Hayes (Julie) and Louise Sorel (Vivian).

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
