Days of Our Lives
Hope (Kristian Alfonso) is surprised to learn Lani (Sal Stowers, not pictured) spent the night at Rafe’s (Galen Gering) on the April 23, 2019 episode of “Days of Our Lives.” The actors are pictured in an earlier episode. NBC

It’s been an emotional 24 hours for Hope following the drug cartel’s return to Salem and their not only shooting her husband but taking her daughter hostage. Now that the drama has all simmered down and come to an end, Hope will go to see Rafe, but be stunned when she sees another woman in his home instead on the Tuesday, April 23 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

Since Rafe (Galen Gering) decided to take care of Jordan’s (Chrishell Stause Hartley) baby, he and Hope (Kristian Alfonso) have been at odds and are even living separately. In addition, to try and give him a hand, Lani (Sal Stowers) has been stopping by his house. Now, following the ordeal where he was shot by an El Fideo gang member on the NBC soap, she will spend the night to try and keep an eye on the baby since Rafe, who is down one arm while he heals from his injury, recovers.

After learning Ciara (Victoria Konefal) was safe when Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) rescued her, Hopes next thought will be to see her husband. However, when she gets to the house she will be left in shock when Lani is there—and clearly spent the night.

“Hope is surprised to learn Lani spent the night at Rafe’s,” spoilers reveal.

Even if she knows Lani’s being there is fairly innocent, since her focus is more on Baby David, it may be a point of contention for Hope considering that one of the other issues that led to she and Rafe splitting up has been the presence of other people in their relationship. Not only was his tendency to go off and rescue his exes—like Sami (Alison Sweeney) and Jordan—a problem for her, but her close relationship with Ted (Gilles Marini), who has been making moves on her, has also caused problems.

Seeing that Rafe was mad at her over another man—one who she has rebuffed—she might take offense to his being dependent on another woman, causing more problems for their already troubled marriage as a result.

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
