She lucked out when Abigail opted not to press charges against her for everything she did to try and destroy her life. However, Gabi may not feel like she has any other good fortune on her side as she realizes just what else she has put at stake with her behavior on the Thursday, Jan. 17 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

Gabi (Camila Banus)’s ploy against Abigail (Kate Mansi) and Stefan (Tyler Christopher) finally came to an end after the truth about Charlotte’s paternity came out on the NBC soap. Since then, Gabi turned herself into the police for everything she had done, but feeling sympathy as a mother for Gabi’s little girl, Abigail opted not to press charges. Knowing she has lost the support of many people in Salem after what she’s done, Gabi has been determined to still do her best to move on with her life—including with her company, Gabi Chic.

Not surprisingly, Chad (Billy Flynn) was unwilling to let her keep Gabi Chic with DiMera, but now, following Stefan’s release from jail after espionage charges against him were dropped, the decision may sit with him. Unfortunately for Gabi, he isn’t likely to be any friendlier towards her or the future of her brand either.

Gabi will ask to have the rights to own and operate her brand for herself, but Stefan will refuse to give them to her, maintaining that DiMera will keep the ownership—even if she is no longer employed. Gabi will be furious, but she will also be forced to realize that she may have just done this to herself entirely by messing with the wrong people.

Still, she’ll refuse to give up, and things could once again take a wicked turn in Salem as a result.

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
