Days of Our Lives
Sami (Alison Sweeney) realizes Susan (Stacy Haiduk, not pictured) is the key to unlocking the mystery man’s identity on the Nov. 1, 2018 episode of “Days of Our Lives. XJ Johnson/JPI Studios for NBC

She is desperate to learn if the man she saved from the warehouse fire is really EJ, but hasn’t had any luck thus far in learning if her husband is truly alive. Now, aware she has no other options when it comes to the truth, Sami will turn to an unlikely source for help on the Thursday, Nov. 1 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

Since being told by Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) that EJ was alive, Sami (Alison Sweeney) has been on a mission to learn if it’s true on the NBC soap. She eventually wound up in Nashville on a tip from Stefan (Tyler Christopher), where she found the warehouse that Kristen and Xander (Paul Telfer) were using for their experiments. However, while there, a fire broke out, and the mystery patient whom she believed was EJ was badly burned. She managed to get him out and he is alive—but there’s no real way of knowing just yet if he really is the man she seeks.

She asked Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) is they could conduct a DNA test, and Kayla cautioned that the only way to do it would be to get a blood sample from another DiMera. However, Sami may realize that there is one other person who could help her—Susan Banks (Haiduk).

“Sami realizes Susan is the key to unlocking the mystery man’s identity,” “Days” spoilers tease.

Sami and Susan have had a tumultuous relationship over the years, especially after Susan stole Will (Chandler Massey) from Sami and brainwashed him into believing he was EJ for years after his presumed death. However, as EJ’s mother, she will be the perfect person to provide a DNA sample, without Sami having to ask for another DiMera’s help.

Of course, asking Susan for help could prove to be less than fruitful considering their history, and could also backfire because the other woman has no idea there is a man who could be the son she has mourned in Salem. With both women potentially on the hunt for answers, things could quickly get messy.

“Days of Our Lives” airs weekdays on NBC.
