Dell Inc named Brian Gladden - the chief executive at what was until recently General Electric Plastics - as its new chief financial officer.

He will officially begin on June 13 after current finance head Don Carty leaves, as part of his resignation announced today. Carty will remain on Dell's board of directors.

Gladden will be responsible for all of Dell's finances, including accounting, financial planning, analysis, tax, ctreasury, audit, and investor relations.

Gladden was President and CEO of SABIC Innovative Plastics Holding BV, formerly known as GE Plastics after General Electric sold it recently.

Gladden had previously worked 20 years at General Electric. In his new job, he will be responsible for all aspect off.
