Demi Lovato often inspires her fans by posting self-love photos and messages on Instagram. Now, she has shared how she "accidentally" lost weight.

On Monday, Lovato, who has been open about her struggles with bulimia and the societal pressures to be thin, shared a new message about body positivity on Instagram, revealing that she is "full of peace, serenity, joy and love today."

"Accidentally lost weight. I don't count calories anymore. I don't exercise anymore. I don't restrict or purge...And I especially...don't live my life accordingly to the diet culture," the 28-year-old singer posted, along with a video showing her weight loss.

"I've actually lost weight. This is a different experience but I feel full. Not of food but of diving wisdom and cosmic guidance," she concluded.

Lovato's post got many thumbs up from her fans and fellow celebrities, including Vanessa Hudgens. "Yessss mama," the actress responded.

Photographer Angelo Kritikos, with whom Lovato frequently collaborates, commented, "Yes baby! love you."

Earlier in the day, Lovato had shared a post on "unrealistic beauty expectations" and "dangerous" appearance-altering filters.

In her Instagram video, she tweaked her looks by using several filters. It featured speech bubbles, one of which read: "Wait do I need a smaller nose?" Another said: "My skin is not this smooth."

The singer-actress then apologized for using these types of filters in the past. "Thank God I'm realizing this now and I'm sorry for using them w/o realizing how dangerous they were before," she wrote.

While Lovato is grateful that these filters weren't around when she was growing up, she is worried about their impact on the teenagers of today. "How are teens supposed to learn to accept themselves w/this s--t?" she added.

Meanwhile, Lovato will get candid about her 2018 overdose and subsequent hospitalization in an upcoming documentary.

"I've had so much to say over the past few years, wanting to set the record straight about what it was that happened," Lovato says in the trailer of her YouTube docuseries, "Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil."

She also reveals that she had three strokes and a heart attack in the hospital.

However, the singer earlier told People that even though it "was a painful journey," she doesn't regret anything.

"Everything had to happen in order for me to learn the lessons that I learned. It was a painful journey, and I look back and sometimes I get sad when I think of the pain that I had to endure to overcome what I have, but I don't regret anything," Lovato said.

"I'm so proud of the person I am today. And I'm so proud that people get to see it in this documentary and I couldn't be more grateful that I had someone by my side," she added.

"Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil" will premiere on March 23 on YouTube.
