Demi Lovato and her ex-boyfriend, Wilmer Valderrama, recently sparked rumors that they have gotten back together.

Over the weekend, the former Disney child star posted a series of photos on Instagram and Snapchat detailing her reunion with Valderrama. The estranged couple, who have stayed amicable despite their breakup, celebrated L.A. Pride together. However, it looks fans rooting for them will be disappointed as Lovato’s telling caption confirmed that she and Valderrama are just best friends.

The “Camp Rock” star and the “From Prada to Nada” actor ended their six-year relationship in June last year. They released a joint statement to E! News, saying, “After almost six loving and wonderful years together, we have decided to end our relationship. This was an incredibly difficult decision for both of us, but we have realized more than anything that we are better as best friends. We will always be supportive of one another. Thank you to everyone who has offered us kindness and support over the years.”

At the time, Lovato and Valderrama’s split came as a shock to fans who frequently saw the two posting their pictures on various social media channels.

In May 2016, Lovato also spoke to Latina magazine and gushed over her much older then-lover. “He’s very manly, and he can be stubborn like Latino men can, but he’s protective and he cares so much and loves so hard. I’ve been blessed enough to have him in my life, and not just as my man, but also my best friend,” she said.

Meanwhile, Lovato just ended her 10-month relationship with Guilherme “Bomba” Vasconcelos. A source told People that the couple’s split wasn’t dramatic. In fact, it was a mutual decision. Lovato and Vasconcelos were first linked one month after the former split from Valderrama.

In April, Lovato graced the “Ellen Show” and told host Ellen DeGeneres that she finds Vasconcelos really “cute.” The singer-actress added that she’s very happy at the time because her life had been so good. Lovato also promoted her upcoming documentary, “I Am: Demi Lovato,” on the “Ellen Show” and announced that it will air sometime at the end of the year.
