Nearly a week ago Demi Lovato announced that she and model Austin Wilson had called it quits and now she has a new tattoo to help her move on from the breakup.

On Tuesday, Lovato’s tattoo artist showed off the singer’s new back tattoo via Instagram. The tattoo is of a woman being pulled up majestically by three birds.

The tattoo artist revealed in his caption why he made this piece for Lovato.

“For the incredible @ddlovato “Devine Feminine” Destruction Effect _____,” he said. “We created this piece together to represent a rebirth of the spirit. The dark wings represent the bad times, their fading away is how she moved forward. The light from within represents the inner strength necessary for the change and the doves, pulling her up, symbolize the reach of an higher state of consciousness. Congratulations on your inspiring journey Demi, honored to have represented this for you.”

His comments were flooded with positive praise for the singer and his artwork.

“That’s absolutely incredible. Gave me goosebumps. Such a truly inspiring piece,” someone commented.

“That’s very detailed. I’m normally not a tattoo person but that’s really quite amazing,” another person said.

“It’s absolutely beautiful and perfect for this amazing person,” someone else said.

This is Lovato’s third tattoo in the last few months.

She got one on Dec. 16 which reads ‘Survivor’ on her neck. Lovato got this to celebrate being sober following her overdose in July 2018.
