Denver Nuggets via Twitter that they called up their rookie Bol Bol from the G-League to add up their frontcourt. Bol is currently on a two-way contract and can stay with the Nuggets for a maximum of 45 playing days.

Reports from the NBA said that the rookie out of the University of Oregon is being groomed to be the team’s steal from the second round. Drafted 44th overall, Bol was leading the Oregon Ducks with 21 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks in his freshmen year before going down with a foot injury that limited him to just nine games.

The son of NBA legend Manute, Bol suited up for the Windy City Bulls in the G-League and has been delivering efficient numbers on both ends of the floor. In his four games, the 20-year old was averaging 11.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in 16.9 minutes. He also is an impactful rim protector on the defensive side, swatting 2.3 blocks and changing a lot more shots taken when he’s near the rim.

The fans are as excited to finally see Bol on the NBA hardwood.

During his stay in the G-League, the 7-foot-2 Bol has been an intriguing prospect and with his talent, he will be a huge addition to the Nuggets, who finished with the second-best record in the Western Conference behind the Golden State Warriors with 54-28 win-loss card.

“He was active, he was quick off his feet, he was engaged. You can’t teach that kind of height,” said Windy City Bulls analyst Mark Shanowski per The Denver Post. He also said that the younger Bol has a decent lateral quickness and a quick jumper compared to his dad, who was more of a “stationary guy”

Bol, who is in a minutes restriction due to his left foot surgery, could possibly play his first NBA game in their upcoming match against the Phoenix Suns who are missing the services of their starting center Aron Baynes. Mason Plumlee, one of only two full-time centers for the Nuggets other than Nikola Jokic, is listed as questionnable due to headache.
