Tuesday night’s Mega Millions $50 million jackpot went unclaimed, but there’s still a big winner out there. Someone won the Match 5, earning $1 million.

The winning Mega Millions numbers pulled Tuesday, Oct. 6 are 15, 16, 18, 39 and 59 with the 3x Megaplier being 17. Watch the lottery numbers drawing below:

Tuesday’s unclaimed jackpot was worth $50 million (with a $38.6 million cash option). That will go into the Friday, Oct. 11 jackpot, now worth an estimated $60 million with a $46.4 million cash option. The drawing will be held Friday at 11 p.m. EDT.

The $1 million winner is in California, but they’re not the only one getting a prize. Plenty of smaller prizes were won in Tuesday’s lottery. There were four people who matched four numbers and the Megaplier, winning $30,000 each. Meanwhile, over 233,000 people won in the $2 category for having just the Megaplier.

There have been five Mega Millions jackpot winners in 2020. On Sept. 15, a winning ticket was sold in Wisconsin worth $120 million ($95.4 million cash). Summer was particularly lucky with winners on June 9 in Arizona ($414 million or $319.9 million cash), July 24 in New Jersey ($123 million or $100.1 million cash) and July 31 in California ($22 million or $17.9 million cash). Another New Jersey player won in February ($202 million or $142.6 million cash) as well.

In 2019, seven Mega Millions jackpots were won while 2018 only had five jackpot winners and 2017 had six. Will there be any more jackpot winners in 2020? Only time will tell.

The Mega Millions lottery has prize options starting as low as $2. The organization states there is a 1 in 24 chance of winning a prize.
