The Monday night Powerball was initially worth $1.90 billion jackpot, with a $929.1 million cash prize, but the amount jumped to a record-breaking $2.04 billion.

The winning lottery drawing numbers from Monday were 10, 33, 41, 47, and 56, with a red Powerball of 10. The Power Play was 2X.

While players were able to drive up the value of the jackpot, there have been no reports of any grand prize winners. However, news of smaller monetary prizes could be announced later on Tuesday.

The Wednesday night jackpot is expected to grow to $2.3 billion, with a cash option of $1.124 billion.

The Monday night drawing was initially delayed due to a participating lottery that experienced issues processing sales and player data.

The drawing for the winning numbers was eventually pulled on Tuesday morning in Tallahassee, Fla., and marked the 40th consecutive drawing without a winner.

Before new figures were announced, the Monday Powerball jackpot already became the world's largest lottery prize by surpassing the 2016 jackpot win worth $1.5 billion.

Powerball jackpot winners must match the six numbers on their ticket to the drawn six-number combination.

Five numbers must be selected from 1 to 69 for the white balls, and a number is selected from 1 to 26 for the red Powerball. Winners can receive their winnings through a lump sum payment or an annuity.

Those who opt for the annuity receive one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5% every year.

The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot is a 1 in 292.2 million chance. The drawings for the game take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays and can be viewed on local networks.

Powerball tickets are available for purchase in participating territories for $2 each.
