The Powerball drawing on Saturday night did have a grand prize winner for the estimated $275 million jackpot with a cash option of $170.7 million. The next drawing, which will take place on Monday, will see the jackpot climb to $288 million with a $178.3 million cash value.

The winning lottery numbers drawn on Saturday, April 9 were 6, 16, 31, 62, and 66 with a red Powerball of 18. The Power Play was 2X.

Although there were no grand prize winners, there was one instant millionaire following the latest drawing.

A player in Puerto Rico hit the Match 5 with the Power Play, winning $2 million. However, there were no players that managed to only match five numbers and take home a $1 million prize.

Aside from the lone millionaire of the night, several other smaller monetary prizes were won following the latest drawing. There were 16 players who hit the Match 4 plus red Powerball and won $50,000 apiece.

Meanwhile, there were only four players who won the Match 4 plus red Powerball with the 2X Power Play and walked away with a $100,000 prize.

The rest of the monetary winnings from the night ranged between $4 and $200. A total of 764,313 people won prizes from the Saturday night jackpot.

Powerball players may have noticed that the latest drawing was delayed by a few hours due to a participating lottery that needed additional time to complete the mandatory security protocols.

“Powerball has strict security requirements that must be met by all 48 lotteries before and after each drawing to produce official draw results,” Powerball stated in a press release.

“Without the draw results, the next estimated jackpot cannot be calculated and, in some jurisdictions, prizes on winning tickets cannot be paid.”

The lottery drawing for the Saturday Powerball game didn’t take place until 2:35 a.m. CT on Sunday.

Jackpot winners need match the six numbers on their ticket to the drawn six-number combination. Five numbers must be selected from 1 to 69 for the white balls, and a number is selected from 1 to 26 for the red Powerball.

There is a 1 in 292.2 million chance of winning the Powerball jackpot.
