The Powerball drawing on Saturday was initially estimated to be worth $147 million with a cash value of $97.1 million, but it rose to $149.3 million that night. There were no grand prize winners from the drawing, which means the jackpot will grow.

The winning lottery numbers drawn on Saturday were 8, 9, 18, 48, 52, with a red Powerball of 6. The Power Play was 2X.

The next Powerball drawing will take place on Monday. The jackpot will reach an estimated $156 million, with a $101.8 million cash option.

Along with no grand prize winner for the latest Powerball drawing, there were no instant millionaires.

Ticket holders who would have hit the Match 5 would have won $1 million each. If players would have matched the five numbers with the 2X Power Play, they would have won $2 million.

Several smaller monetary prizes also resulted from the Saturday Powerball drawing. There were 15 players who hit the Match 4 plus red Powerball and won $50,000 apiece. Meanwhile, five players managed to hit the Match 4 plus red Powerball with a Power Play, winning $100,000.

The other monetary wins from the latest lottery drawing ranged between $4 and $200. A total of 591,012 players won prizes from the Saturday night lottery.

The latest drawing comes after a woman from Washington, D.C., bought a $2 million winning ticket while shopping in Maryland.

The 44-year-old woman, who used the nickname “Smudge” to collect her prize, purchased the ticket at Rodman’s Discount Gourmet in Kensington.

She plans to use the prize money to buy her dream home and fund her son’s college education.

Powerball jackpot winners need to match the six numbers on their ticket to the drawn six-number combination. Five numbers must be selected from 1 to 69 for the white balls, and a number is selected from 1 to 26 for the red Powerball.

There is a 1 in 292.2 million chance of winning the Powerball jackpot.
