The Powerball drawing for Wednesday reset to $20 million after the record $2.4 billion record-breaking grand prize was won earlier in the week. However, the latest drawing did not result in any winners for the jackpot, which jumped to $32.1 million, with a cash value of $15.7 million by the time of the drawing took place.

The unclaimed jackpot will now climb to $47 million, with a cash value of $23 million for the Saturday drawing.

The winning lottery drawing numbers from Wednesday were 7, 14, 24, 30, and 56, with a red Powerball of 7. The Power Play was 2X.

None of the players managed to become Match 5 winners, which would have resulted in a $1 million prize. If players matched five numbers with a Power Play purchase, they could have increased their winnings to $2 million.

Eighteen players across the country hit the Match 4 plus the red Powerball and won $50,000 each. Meanwhile, six ticket-holders won the Match 4 plus the red Powerball, with a Power Play, doubling their prize to $100,000 apiece.

More than a million tickets won prizes at all levels from the Wednesday drawing, totaling $9.2 million.

Experts advise players lucky enough to win the Powerball jackpot to keep their win a secret to avoid becoming a target of various requests ranging from family members to the IRS.

Additionally, winners should seek advice from an attorney and an accountant to prepare themselves for the influx of wealth.

Powerball jackpot winners need to match the six numbers on their ticket to the drawn six-number combination. Five numbers must be selected from 1 to 69 for the white balls, and a number is selected from 1 to 26 for the red Powerball.

Winners can choose from a lump sum payment or an annuity, which includes one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5% each year.

Powerball tickets are available for purchase in participating territories for $2 each. The drawings for the game take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays and can be viewed on local networks.

The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot is a 1 in 292.2 million chance.
