Jhene Aiko filed for divorce from her producer husband Dot Da Genius after 11 months of marriage, and it happened amid rumors that she’s in a relationship with Big Sean. According to TMZ, Aiko listed irreconcilable differences as the cause of the split, and she’s doesn’t want her husband to receive any spousal support at all.

Ever since Aiko and the “Blessings” rapper released their joint album “Twenty88” earlier this year, they’ve openly flirted with each other and even shared a kiss on stage. It happened at the Power 106 “Powerhouse” concert in June, which of course had the rumor mill buzzing about the two artists not only being a couple, but that the “Souled Out” singer was cheating on Dot Da Genius. Soon after, people took to social media and blasted Aiko and Big Sean for allegedly having an affair.

“Big Sean out here ruining marriages,” wrote one Twitter user next to a photo from one of the scenes of the film “Menace to Society.” “Jhene Aiko ex-husband going to hop in his car like ...”

“I’m so confused,” another person tweeted. “Isn’t Jhene Aiko married? And she’s just doing publicity with Big Sean, or is there something I’m completely missing?”

Another thing about Aiko’s marriage that may seem strange is that she never talked about it in the press or even acknowledged it. In fact, only Dot Da Genius let people know about their nuptials. In March he shared a wedding photo out of the blue. That post has since been deleted.

Of course, news of the singer’s divorce will cause people to ask whether it was caused by Big Sean, and if she and the G.O.O.D. Music rapper will now be an official couple. There’s a good chance, however, that Aiko won’t mention anything about the split, because she blasted someone in the past for asking her about it.

“Jhene Aiko splits with husband after making ‘Twenty 88’ with Big Sean,” one person tweeted in April, which was captured by The Shade Room. “Is this true? If so, what’s up with you?” “Put down the blog, pick up a book,” Aiko responded. “You like science at all? Art? Nature? Music? There are literally books for all these things.”

At this time, there’s been no word from Aiko about the split, and Sean hasn’t commented on it either. Dot Da Genius, however, sent a tweet on Thursday and thanked people for their support.

“I appreciate the love everyone. No worries, okay?” he tweeted.
