Will Rihanna be the next Poison Ivy? Maybe.

Nothing has been confirmed, but there are whispers that Warner Bros. is eyeing the 31-year-old to play the role of the red-headed DC Comics villain in Matt Reeves’ "The Batman." She isn't the only one Warner Bros. has eyes on, though. We Got This Covered reports that the pop star is just one of a few names on the studio's wishlist.

While it's unclear whether a formal offer has been extended to Rihanna, the singer-songwriter seemed to hint at the role in an Instagram post on Sunday.

"Bat-mobile, but make it fashion! get into this matte leather-rubber fusion tho," she captioned the photo and tagged Fenty, her beauty and fashion brand.

Poison Ivy's last appearance was in 1997's "Batman and Robin," where Uma Thruman snagged the coveted role. In the upcoming film, Ivy, whose powers include the ability to control plants as well as having the ability to give off pheromones to mind control others, wouldn't be the only villain. According to Comic Book News, the latest Dark Knight movie is speculated to feature more than six villains.

If Rihanna secures the role, she would be working alongside Robert Pattinson, who was cast as Bruce Wayne a.k.a. Batman. If not, the fashion designer and businesswoman will have no problem keeping busy. The Barbados native has her booming makeup and fashion line, Fenty, as well as a new album to keep her occupied.
