KEY POINTS

  • Dixie D’Amelio’s TikTok account shows an error message that reads, “user doesn’t exist”
  • The hackers also threatened to attack Charli D'Amelio’s TikTok account
  • TikTok is trying hard to restore Dixie's and their dad Marc D'Amelio’s accounts, a report says

Dixie D’Amelio’s TikTok account, along with her father Marc D’Amelio's, has been deleted after several strange posts were made on their pages Sunday.

While trying to access Dixie’s account, which had more than 46 million followers and 1.6 billion likes before the hack, fans now only see an error message that reads, “user doesn’t exist.”

After posting several clips on Dixie's TikTok page, the suspected hacker disabled her profile. The updated bio now reads, “follow @koiiddd.”

The first clip was of a mouse “benching” a trap, with the message, “preparing to hack Dixie.” The second clip mentioned “The Chuckling Squad,” an online hacker group known to have hacked Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s account in 2019.

Several other deleted clips mention an unknown user called “Joe,” along with a private Instagram account handle called “lucifer,” which has over 11,000 followers.

Though Dixie, 19, did not release an official statement regarding the suspected hack, she appeared to address it on Instagram account TikTokRoom’s post, which read: “looks like #dixiedamelio tiktok has been deleted.”

“i guess dixie123 was a bad password,” Dixie replied.

But the hackers seem to be targeting the entire D’Amelio family as they went on to invade her father’s TikTok account.

Marc, with a TikTok following of 8.8 million fans, suffered a similar fate as his older daughter. His account was also flooded with posts that refer to the “lucifer” Instagram account and had the hashtag, “#F--kTheDamelios.”

While the hackers have also threatened to attack Charli D’Amelio’s TikTok account, no activity has taken place as of now to threaten her 102.9 million followers.

Yashar Ali, who writes for New York Magazine, learned from an unnamed source that TikTok is doing its best to restore Dixie's as well as her dad Marc’s accounts.

This is certainly not the first time that a social media influencer’s account has been targeted by online hackers.

Addison Rae’s TikTok account was hacked and temporarily suspended sometime mid-August. At the time, her iconic handle, addisonre, was changed to "joeandzak1," apart from several videos that were posted on her profile without her knowledge. Similarly, Charli’s VSCO account was also hacked in June.
