Prince Charles and Prince William aren’t seen sporting a beard as often as Prince Harry, so many are interested to know if the royal princes look better with or without it.

The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cambridge and Duke of Sussex’s photos with a beard resurfaced online. Check them out below and decide if they look better with it.

Prince Charles

Prince Charles is rarely seen with a beard just like his eldest son, Prince William. However, at one point in his life, he also grew a beard. In 1975, the Prince of Wales was photographed with facial hair during a Naval exercise in Alaska.

Also, the royal family shared photos of a younger Prince Charles on Instagram as a tribute to his 70th birthday last year. One shot featured the future king sporting a beard while at the Badminton Horse Trials, and many were convinced that he looked like his son, Prince Harry, in the photo. Some fans who initially thought that Prince Harry was Princess Diana’s son with ex-lover James Hewitt had changed their minds after seeing it.

Prince William

Prince William has sported a clean-shaven look for as long as one can remember. However, in 2008, Kate Middleton’s husband experimented with facial hair and looked pretty great in it, The Sun reported.

The Duke of Cambridge had grown a bushy moustache and beard before starting his training as a pilot with the Royal Air Force during a 10-day exercise in Barbados with the Navy’s Special Boat service. According to The Telegraph, Prince William grew his beard in an attempt to disguise his identity during the mission.

Some found Prince William’s appearance with a beard great for him and encouraged the second-in-line to the throne to grow one and just shave his head, taking a dig at his hair loss.

Prince Harry

Among the three gentlemen, Prince Harry is the one who is most often seen with a beard. The Duke of Sussex began to grow out his beard when he started his military training. Katie Nicholl wrote in her book, “Harry: Life, Loss, and Love,” that the majority of the members of royal family love it, but Queen Elizabeth II didn’t approve of it.

“She doesn't mind royal men growing beards when they are away in the armed forces or out in the wild like Harry was in the Antarctic, but she expects them to be clean-shaven when they get home,” a source said.
