Being well-endowed for a man is usually a good thing, except for Jon Hamm.

The “Man Men” star is causing quite a stir with his private parts, again. An AMC insider explained to the New York Daily News’ Confidential that Hamm was asked to please wear underwear while filming his scenes for the sixth season of the hit show. Apparently his tight '60s-style clothing was too tight to go commando.

“This season takes place in the 1960s, where the pants are very tight and leave little to the imagination,” a source told Confidential. “Jon’s impressive anatomy is so distracting that they politely insisted on underwear.”

It sounds like Hamm would benefit from some “manx” (male Spandex) instead of just wearing underwear.

But this isn’t the only time Hamm’s well-endowed package created a fuss. The insider revealed during season 1 and 2, AMC’s marketing team had to Photoshop some of the promotional booklets to try and make his privates less noticeable.

Supposedly his junk was the brunt of many jokes for the crew while the series was shooting in Hawaii. Hamm’s character was apparently drinking cocktails in mini shorts that were less than conservative.

“His privates are the inside joke,” the source said, also adding that Hamm “knows what he’s got.”

“Imagine how distracting that would be on the side of a bus or building,” the insider said while laughing. “When the promotional pictures came back the first few seasons, we had to work with them. Everyone was concerned about too much Christina Hendricks boob, but it’s Jon that has the most to show. It’s a good problem to have.”

The new season of “Mad Men” airs on Sunday, April 7, with a two-hour premiere.

But not everyone is amused by the large-package jokes.

A rep for Hamm said to the New York Daily News: “It is ridiculous and not really funny at all. I’d appreciate you taking the high road and not resorting to something childish like this that’s been blogged about 1,000 times.”
