Dolce & Gabbana is holding its ground when it comes to supporting Melania Trump. The FLOTUS haters campaigned to boycott the brand, so the luxury Italian clothing line answered back in a surprising way.

On Monday, Stefano Gabbana posted a short clip on Instagram featuring its new t-shirt that reads “#BOYCOTT DOLCE & GABBANA” with a red heart at the bottom. “All the lovers and all the #HATERS Reliving #boycottdolcegabbana,” he wrote in the caption. The shirt is retail at $245.

According to People, the said move was mocking Melania’s haters. When Donald Trump won the presidential race, a number of designers and clothing lines refused to dress the First Lady because they do not support her husband’s political views. However, Dolce & Gabbana viewed it differently and many disagreed with them that they wanted to boycott the brand. However, Gabbana is very proud of the FLOTUS that it boasted Melania’s ensemble wearing its label design on its Instagram account.

For instance, when the Trumps met Pope Francis, Melania wore a black lace coat dress from Dolce & Gabbana with long sleeves. The dress fell past her knees and she matched it with a black veil to cover her head. The brand was thankful to the First Lady for wearing their design. In another Instagram post, Gabanna shared a photo of Melania, Donald and Pope Francis. “@flotus #melaniatrump #DGWoman #DGStyle THANK YOU #boycottdolcegabbana please,” he wrote in the caption.

Melania was once dragged into a controversy after wearing a Dolce & Gabbana jacket worth $51,500 when she visited Sicily. The floral coat with multicolored silk flowers did not receive the approval of the public due to its hefty price. “The lady wears Dolce while the middle class implodes,” The Washington Post reported.

Many shook their heads over Melania’s fancy coat. In fact, it called to mind the outrage and indignation that erupted in 2009 when Michelle Obama wore $540 Lavin sneakers to a Washington food bank. Both instances were considered fashion shame.

In other news, Melania already moved to Washington D.C. She arrived with her husband, parents and son, Barron. The First Lady arrived in another Dolce & Gabbana outfit. She donned a Gabbana tailored top and Bally trousers. She completed her outfit with a python Manolo Blahnik stilettos and accessorized it with a Hermès Birkin bag, Vogue reported. Once again, Gabbana posted this on Instagram and thanked the FLOTUS for wearing their design.
