Donald Trump called his wife, Melania Trump, a "great future lady," and this got many thinking that he could be running for president again.

The former president delivered a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) 2021 Sunday. The former first lady was not spotted at the gathering in Orlando, but her husband did not forget to mention her in his speech.

"When I made my first remarks when I came down in the escalator with our great future first lady, who says 'hello', who loves you as much as I love you," Trump said referring to Melania as the crowd clapped their hands for him.

Since Trump called Melania the "great future first lady," many immediately speculated that he would be running for president in 2024.

"Trump calls Melania the 'future first lady' in surest sign he is NOT done with political office," one tweeted.

"Trump calls Melania the ‘future first lady’ as he teases a run for 2024," another added.

"Well, he did say, 'The FUTURE First Lady' when talking about Melania!" a third netizen wrote with folded hands emoji.

"Trumps reference to Melania as our future First Lady leaves me hopeful for his 2024 run," a Trump supporter added.

Meanwhile, some did not take Trump's word very seriously. For them, he was referring to Melania when he was still campaigning in 2015.

"As I recall, he was simply referring to Melania from a few years ago when they were campaigning for his presidency," one wrote.

"He was reminiscing. He was talking about 2015 if you needed the context of the quote," a second user agreed.

In related news, many speculated that Melania would divorce Trump after their exit from the White House. The rumors intensified when the ex-FLOTUS did not mention Trump in her tweets on Valentine's Day.

However, despite the lack of mention on Twitter, Melania and Trump actually spent the occasion together. Keith Ott, a businessman, shared photos of him and his wife, Danielle, posing alongside Melania and Trump in separate photos.
