Donald Trump recently made a shocking claim about the deadly coronavirus at a press conference on Saturday.

While there, the POTUS announced the death of the first American to have contacted the virus. The woman is reportedly in her late 50s, and she didn’t contact the virus via an overseas flight.

“It is a sad day in our state as we learn that a Washingtonian has died from COVID-19. Our hearts go out to his family and friends. We will continue to work toward a day where no one dies from the virus. We are strengthening our preparedness and response efforts. I am committed to keeping Washingtonians healthy, safe and informed,” Washington Governor Jay Inslee said in a statement.

Prior to the last-minute press conference, the POTUS dubbed the deadly coronavirus a hoax. And he didn’t bother to take back his claim even after a woman passed away because of it.

“You used the word ‘hoax’ to talk about this last night. Do you regret that?” a reporter asked Trump.

“No, no, no. ‘Hoax’ referring to the action [Dems] take to try and pin this on somebody because we’ve done such a good job,” the POTUS replied.

However, this isn’t the only thing that made headlines with regard to Trump’s recent press conference. Eagle-eyed netizens and journalists noticed how tired and sickly he looked. They also took note of his nonstop sniffing.

Writer and political consultant Arieh Kovler uploaded a series of photos of the POTUS from the conference where he looks unwell.

“Trump at the Coronavirus press conference. He looks sick. Something wrong with one of his eyes, voice unusually croaky,” he captioned the snap.

In a follow-up tweet, Kovler said that Trump doesn’t have the face of a healthy man. Other netizens also claimed that the POTUS didn’t look well during his press conference.

“@realDonaldTrump looks very unwell at his presser today. It all may be catching up to him,” Twitter user @CosmickateKate said.

“Downer Trump showed up for the presser today. Someone needs to get you to the doctor. You are clearly unwell,” Twitter user @Kaye37831999 said.
