How can you celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday on Netflix? Netflix

Monday marked the birthday of writer and cartoonist Theodor Seuss Geisel, but you probably know him better by his pen name – Dr. Seuss. The iconic children’s books writer -- responsible for classics “The Cat in the Hat,” “Green Eggs and Ham,” and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” -- would have been 111 day. Fans looking for ways to pay tribute to the wacky works of the whimsical writer can catch up on some lesser known adaptations on Netflix this month.

Here are three Dr. Seuss inspired movies and series available right now on Netflix:

“The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss” (TV)

Season 1 of this Jim Henson Productions-created “muppet” adaptation is available on Netflix. The show, which originally appeared on Nickelodeon, features puppet versions of classic Dr. Seuss characters in all-new original stories.

“The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That!” (TV)

Netflix has the first two seasons of this 2010 PBS animated show, which follows the titular Cat in the Hat – voiced by comedian Martin Short – on a series of adventures.

“The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About Christmas!” (TV Movie)

Derived from the previously mentioned PBS series, this TV special features Martin Short, once again, as the Cat in the Hat, who must help a young reindeer reunite with his family.
