The ongoing conflict with Russia has displaced millions of Ukrainian citizens from their homes, with little to no access to food, medical supplies, shelter, and safety. Providing humanitarian aid has been incredibly challenging as entry points to Ukraine have been blocked, and roads have been damaged by bombings.

Drone companies including Draganfly Inc. (NASDAQ: DPRO; CSE: DPRO; FSE: 3U8) are in a unique position to provide aerial delivery of emergency supplies and bypass those transportational challenges that are preventing citizens from receiving the help they need.

The award-winning, industry-leading drone solutions and systems developer, announced this week that it received an initial order for its Medical Response and Search and Rescue Drones from the non-profit organization, Revived Soldiers Ukraine (RSU). Working with the charity and Coldchain Delivery Systems, Draganfly will provide 10 Medical Response and Search and Rescue Drones to RSU and is also donating three drone systems to the charity organization for immediate deployment to Ukraine.

The drones will be mounted with the company’s temperature managed Medical Response Payload Box. The payload box can transport up to 35 pounds of medical supplies, including blood, pharmaceuticals, insulin/medicines, vaccines, water, and wound care kits.

Draganfly has a proven track record for developing quality, cutting-edge drone innovations, software and artificial intelligence (AI) systems. The company is driven by passion, ingenuity, and the need to provide efficient solutions and first-class services. Draganfly’s drones are designed and manufactured for specific use cases, such as the Draganflyer X4-ES, which was credited as the first drone to save a human life in 2013.

The company’s advances in engineering, logistics and AI capabilities are positioning it to be able to actively support operations during live deployments around the world, including the ongoing situation in Ukraine.

“We are extremely honoured to work with RSU and Coldchain Delivery Systems to support those affected by the ongoing crisis in Ukraine. Draganfly has a long and proud history of supporting EMS services and humanitarian aid operations globally. Our Medical Response and Search and Rescue Drones will help RSU deliver crucial supplies, equipment, and visual oversight,” said Cameron Chell, CEO of Draganfly.

Draganfly’s drones will be used by RSU to access hotspots and provide humanitarian aid within major Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv and Kharkiv. The charity currently has 10 full-time staff members on the ground in Ukraine, and over 300 volunteers across Ukraine and the U.S.

RSU is a charitable organization dedicated to providing aid to the people of Ukraine in support of their fundamental human rights, and the medical rehabilitation of Ukrainian soldiers. The charity has already purchased 10 ambulances and 11 cars, and allocated more than $19 million USD towards supplies for Ukrainian civilians and hospitals.

“Brave Ukrainians continue to fight for freedom, democracy, and the fundamental values and principles of Western civilization. There is an urgent need for medical supplies and equipment in several dangerous and hard-to-reach areas. Draganfly’s Medical Response Drones will play a crucial role in ensuring that those affected have access to the aid they require,” said Iryna Vashchuk Discipio, President of RSU.

According to the World Health Organization, the war in Ukraine has seen 51 attacks on healthcare throughout the country, including on buildings, patients, and staff and supply chains, resulting in 15 confirmed deaths. Draganfly’s proprietary Medical Response and Search and Rescue Drones will provide crews with visual oversight during humanitarian aid operations and will help ensure the timely delivery of temperature-sensitive medical supplies and life-saving equipment to dangerous or hard-to-reach areas.

“The entire team at Coldchain Delivery Systems is focused on providing as much support as possible to the people of Ukraine during this incredibly difficult time,” said Wayne Williams, Founder and Executive Director of Coldchain Delivery Systems.

Draganfly’s North-American manufactured drones will help to ensure the integrity of the company’s hardware and the security of its user data. This is integral as drone security remains a major concern during the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, according to PetaPixel.

Draganfly is recognized as being at the forefront of technology for over 20 years. Working with Revived Soldiers Ukrain Coldchain Delivery Systems, the company is committed to supporting Ukrainians in need during this crucial time.
