"Dragon Ball FighterZ" producer Tomoko Hiroki just confirmed two new big content additions for the game in a livestream. The producer said that there will be new character announcements and a major patch reveal after the Red Bull Final Summoning, which will be held from Jan. 26 to 27. Here’s what we know about this "Dragon Ball FighterZ" DLC news.

As seen on the "Dragon Ball Games Super Showcase" livestream, Hiroki announced that they’ll have some upcoming reveals after the Final Summoning event in the final week of January. The producer didn’t add too many details about the new characters. Dedicated fans and competitive players will have to watch the upcoming tournament to know if their favorite characters will make it, as "Dragon Ball" DLC will be added soon. Potentially, the character announcement could be the second season pass set of characters that many players are wanting right now. Here are some stills from the recent livestream.

Aside from this, Hiroki also said that there will be a game rebalance announcement coming together with the character reveals. The "Dragon Ball FighterZ" producer added that they were planning to “make comebacks possible.”

Currently, the general gameplan of many players in "Dragon Ball FighterZ" is to create attacks that both close the gap with their enemies and minimize all risks of counterattacks. This situation can be created with clever positioning, a quick approach and an Assist character backing your character up to prevent any retaliation from the enemy. Moreover, many fans and players must adapt to this with good defense and blocking. Since players use this tactic on each other, matches tend to last long, as both players would not want to give the health advantage to the enemy.

Moreover, the comeback power-up move, “Sparking Blast,” is mostly relied on for its defensive utility, such as rapid health regeneration and the pushback blast if the opponent is hit, rather than using it offensively to end opponents quickly.

For now, we can only wait for the Red Bull Final Summoning event for new information. After this tournament, the "DragonBall FighterZ" world tour will start on the Community Effort Orlando (CEO) tournament from June 28 to 30, which could not only feature the new content but also the latest announcements for the fresh additions in the game.
