A Spirit Airlines flight’s take-off was delayed after a passenger vomited in a co-traveler’s hair. The incident took place aboard a flight from Chicago to Baltimore, Maryland, on Wednesday morning.

Speaking to ABC7 Eyewitness News, an unidentified passenger said the passenger who threw up was drunk and was removed the flight. The other passengers too were deplaned. The crew then cleaned the aircraft following which the flight took-off.

Meanwhile, the woman on whom the passenger had vomited was forced to wash her hair in a sink. A video shared by the unrelated passenger showed a flight attendant helping the woman clean the vomit out of her hair. Another video showed the passengers being deplaned.

However, troubles were not over yet. Minutes after take-off, two drunk passengers locked themselves in the bathroom, causing another delay.

The incident comes a few months after some Ryanair passengers were filmed shouting and vomiting on a flight from Manchester to Croatia. The passengers, who were a group of party-goers, stormed into the flight and refused to listen to the crew when asked not to yell. A video of the incident showed the passengers yelling before one of them vomits and passes out amid laughter from his mates.

Calling the situation as that of "a nightclub without the music,” a co-passenger said, "It was like being in a jungle with wild animals. It was hell on earth. It was the worst flight of my life. It was absolutely appalling. The only way I can describe it is like being in a nightclub without the music 10,000ft above the ground. They were shouting, chanting and the crew could not calm them down. They were uncontrollable. No one could calm them down. It was completely unacceptable. All of them were drunk.”
