Electronic Arts, the worlds largest video game maker, released the latest iteration of its popular basketball game franchise, NBA Live 07, for American consumers on Tuesday.

The title follows up on the company's previous NBA Live series, the worlds best selling basketball game, according to NPD Data.

With NBA player Tracy McGrady gracing its cover, the game was developed by EA Canada and features a number of advancements over the 2006 predecessor.

Of the new features, the most compelling are new streaming radio podcasts that the game will retrieve from ESPN Motion networks. Gamers with online connections will also be able to watch NBA game highlights, and segments from ESPN programming right on their console.

The title will be available for Microsoft's Xbox consoles as well as the PSP and personal computers, on Tuesday. The Redwood City Calif.-based developer said that the title will be available for Playstation2 on September 27th.
