Easter may mark the second year in a row where families won’t be having the same large gatherings they’re used to, but that doesn’t mean smaller family groups who can celebrate together should worry when it comes to their 2021 holiday dinner.

For those looking to create a traditional Easter meal Sunday, we’ve got the perfect, super easy recipe for a baked honey-glazed ham. For those who are looking to make their meal complete. Try this recipe (via McCormick).

What You Need:

  • 1 Bone-In Spiral-Cut Ham, About 10 Pounds
  • 1 Cup Honey
  • ½ Cup Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon Ground Ginger
  • 1 Teaspoon Ground Mustard
  • ½ Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

How To Make It:

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Place ham on its side in roasting pan.

2. Mix honey, brown sugar and spices in a small bowl until well blended. If mixture is too thick, microwave on high 30 seconds-1 minute until smooth, stirring after 30 seconds.

3. Brush ½ of the honey mixture over the ham, gently separating the slices so mixture can reach middle of the ham. Optional: Add 1 cup of water, stock or apple juice to the pan to keep ham juicy.

4. Cover loosely with foil. Bake one hour, basting occasionally with pan drippings.

5. Remove foil, and brush ham with remaining honey mixture. Bake 45 minutes longer.

6. Serve ham with pan drippings.

To make a different glaze, this brown Sugar option via The Kitchn is another great way to enhance the flavors.

What You Need:

  • 2 Cups Packed Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 Cup Honey
  • ½ Cup Dijon Mustard
  • 2 tbs. Unsalted Butter
  • 2 tbs. Apple Cider Vinegar

1. To make, while the ham is in the oven, place all ingredients into a medium saucepan over medium-high heat and bring to a simmer, stirring regularly to break up any lumps. Reduce the heat to medium-low and continue to simmer slowly until reduced by a third, darkened and thickened, about 20 minutes.

2. Remove the ham from the oven, uncover and baste with the warm glaze, working it between the cuts in the ham wherever possible. Return the ham to the oven for a final 30 minutes of cooking.
