After becoming Spotify’s second-most streamed artist of the decade, Ed Sheeran has ended the year with a bang by adding one more feather to his hat.

According to a report by Forbes, the 28-year-old musician has become one of the three artists ever to achieve three Diamond singles since the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) first introduced the Diamond certification over two decades ago.

“Perfect” was Sheeran’s latest song to be certified diamond by the organization, which means the song has now been streamed and sold over 10 million copies in the U.S. The “Galway Gal” hitmaker first achieved this feat in 2017, when “Thinking Out Loud” went on to join a handful of songs that achieved this massive accolade. Meanwhile, his blockbuster track “Shape Of You” joined the coveted list earlier this year.

Sheeran joins rapper Eminem and pop-sensation Katy Perry on the elite list of artists to earn three diamond tracks. Perry was the first musician ever to do that with her songs “Roar,” “Dark Horse” and “Firework.”

Meanwhile, the songs “Love The Way You Lie,” “Not Afraid” and “Lose Yourself” made Eminem the second artist to achieve this massive feat.

The news comes just a week after the “A-Team” hitmaker was crowned the U.K.’s Artist of the Decade by the Official Charts Company. According to Official Charts Company, the musician has the most number one in this decade. The singer has a combination of 12 singles and albums at the numero uno position between 2010 and 2019.

The organization also noted that his albums have spent more than 41 weeks at the top spot while his songs have been at the number one position for over 38 weeks, which means a total of 79 weeks at number one. He is the only artist to do that.

Meanwhile, Sheeran’s gigantic hit “Shape Of You” was named the number one song of the decade by the organization. The song was followed by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk” at number two.
