'Elden Ring': Where To Find The Godslayer Greatsword

The Godslayer Greatsword is a unique weapon that’s especially powerful in the hands of an “Elden Ring” character with high Faith and Strength stats.

This weapon comes very close to being one of the legendary armaments hidden across The Lands Between in “Elden Ring.” It comes with its own special model and weapon skill that players won’t be able to find elsewhere.

Players can find the Godslayer Greatsword in the Divine Tower of Caelid, though actually getting to the weapon may take more effort than many players would expect.

Caelid’s tower can be seen the moment players enter the region from Limgrave. The easiest way to get there is by heading east of the Rotview Balcony grace and jumping across the chasm where the gap is most narrow.

After activating the nearby Site of Grace, players will need to climb the exterior of the tower until they reach the entrance above. Jump onto the large root by the tower and use the ladders on the left side to get up to the upper levels. Use Torrent to jump across large gaps and pay attention to any holes on the floor.

After reaching the Site of Grace, enter the tower by going through the doorway on the left. This will lead to a nauseating platforming section with plenty of jumping and long drops. Keep jumping down and activate the Site of Grace at the bottom. Past this will be a fog door that leads to a fight against a Godskin Apostle.

This boss can be a little tricky to fight because of his quick and long attacks that can easily break a player’s guard or outright bypass the protection offered by shields. However, the apostle’s attacks can be parried, and like most bosses, he is vulnerable to attacks that inflict Blood Loss.

Beating the Godskin Apostle will unlock the door behind him. Inside this room is a chest containing the Godslayer Greatsword.

This sword is great for STR/FAI hybrid builds as it deals decent damage on each swing, and its unique weapon skill can deal tons of damage to enemies in a single strike. It also has a special burn effect that can help finish off anything that survives the main hit.
