Is there sweet music ahead for Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) and Lucious (Terrence Howard) in "Empire" episode 8, "The Lyon's Roar"? FOX

When we left Lucious (Terrence Howard) last week, his empire was in chaos. He finally confessed to his sons and ex-wife Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) about the health problems he had been hiding. In an emotional and booze-soaked scene, Lucious slept with Cookie, not to the surprise of his current fiancée Anita (Grace Gealey). Hakeem’s (Bryshere Y. Gray) love interest (Naomi Campbell) began demanding more, ambitious alpha Andre (Trai Byers ) lost his cool over his dad’s news and Jamal (Jussie Smollett) gained a daughter and lost his significant other. Tonight’s episode promises to add fuel to that fire.

The synopsis for episode 8, “The Lyon’s Roar” teases Cookie’s latest idea for a comeback: a Lyon family album featuring Lucious and his sons, Jamal and Hakeem. Andre’s set to deal with more darkness while his brother Jamal is slated to steal the show with “news that surprises everyone.” There can’t just be only four episodes left this season, right?

And the stars keep coming out for FOX’s hit series “Empire.” This week, supermodel Naomi Campbell returns as the “Yoko Ono” figure threatening Cookie’s album plans. I would not want to be the person staring down a fight with Cookie, but her character Camilla Marks has Hakeem so wrapped up in her schemes, she’s prepping the battleground for a good fight. You can preview their first showdown in the promo below.
