Former Disney Channel star Kyle Massey is facing a felony charge after he allegedly sent pornographic materials via social media to a 13-year-old girl he personally knew, court documents showed.

Massey, known for playing Cory Baxter on the television shows "That's So Raven" and its "Cory in the House" spin-off, was charged with one count of communication with a minor for immoral purposes in King County Superior Court in Washington, Variety reported, citing court documents filed on June 14.

The 29-year-old actor was accused of sending explicit photos, texts and videos to a 13-year-old girl using social media platform Snapchat from December 2018 to January 2019, NBC News reported.

According to documents, the girl's mother allegedly gave police a hard drive containing the materials. One of the videos allegedly showed a man — who reportedly appeared to be Massey — exposing himself.

The mother said Massey and the girl — who cannot be named due to her age — had known each other since her daughter was 4 years old, TMZ reported.

The documents said Massey allegedly asked the mother to send the girl from Seattle, Washington, to Los Angles, California, to live with him and his girlfriend around the same time her daughter received the messages, as per NBC News.

Investigators had requested data from Snapchat for the account that allegedly belonged to Massey, and it revealed messages between him and the girl that supported the files provided by the mother to police, according to a certification for probable cause.

Prosecutors are seeking a sexual assault protection order for the girl and are requesting the court to prohibit Massey from contacting her, court documents showed. The state of Washington has also asked for an order banning the former actor from the internet "absent installation of a computer monitoring system," according to the documents.

The charge is connected to a lawsuit filed by the 13-year-old girl and her mother in March 2019 suing Massey for $1.5 million for allegedly sending sexually explicit materials to the minor, according to TMZ. The lawsuit was for intentional infliction of emotional distress, harmful matter sent with intention of seducing a minor, attempting to commit a lewd act with a minor and annoying or molesting a minor.

In a statement to TMZ at the time, Massey denied the allegations and claimed he was being extorted.

Massey failed to appear for his Monday arraignment before King County Criminal Court.

According to King County Superior Court, a deferred bench warrant had been issued, and Massey's next hearing is scheduled for July 12.
