A former UFC champion is very disappointed with how Tyron Woodley took on Jake Paul.

The Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland was lifted off the ground after its hometown favorite Paul beat Woodley via split decision on Sunday.

To everybody’s surprise, the former UFC welterweight champ came out slow early in the bout. Meanwhile, “The Problem Child” kept his rhythm all the way to the third round.

Woodley then tagged Paul with a vicious left hook that got the internet sensation stumbling to the ropes that prevented him to fall over.

At that moment, it was Woodley’s best shot at knocking out Paul, but “The Chosen One” failed to finish the job.

This has got former UFC champ-champ Daniel Cormier hitting out at Woodley on Twitter.

“Jake Paul is scared, but Tyron [Woodley] isn’t throwing,” Cormier tweeted.

“If Tyron puts his foot on the gas, like go a little the threat isn’t as high as it was early,” he added. “Don’t go for a decision in your opponent[‘s] hometown.”

Realizing his fellow ex-UFC champ had been losing on the scorecards, Cormier pointed out that apart from Paul’s evident “activity,” it was also Woodley’s unwillingness to take out his opponent that caused his defeat.

“Jake Paul showed he has the toughness and won’t quit,” the 42-year-old explained. “Tyron wasn’t active enough, not a bad fight tho. It was activity! Paul was exhausted, and when guys are that tired gotta, show them the door. Whatever, man. Dammit, Tyron.”

To his defense, Woodley insisted that he felt like he “won the fight,” urging Paul to agree to a rematch, CBS Sports reported.

"I feel like I won the fight," Woodley said after the fight. "I feel like Jake is a great opponent. I came in great shape because I knew he could take a punch. No disrespect but f--- the [Tommy] Fury fight, Jake and I can run it back. Nobody is going to sell a pay-per-view like we did. I felt like he was tough. I hit him and the ropes held him up."

Paul, on the other hand, acknowledged Woodley’s longevity in combat sports and apologized for all the trash-talking he did leading to the fight.

"I don't know what to say but he's a tough opponent," Paul said in his post-fight interview. "He has been boxing, fighting, and striking for 20-something years. I have been doing this for three years."

"This was a tougher fight than I expected. My legs felt weird from the locker room. I don't know what to say. He put up a good fight and came in shape. I have nothing but respect for him. There was a lot of shit talk, but I apologize if I offended his team."
