Fed's Evans: U.S. tentatively emerging from recession
Chicago Federal Reserve Bank President Charles Evans on Friday said the U.S. economy is tentatively emerging from a severe recession and that inflation and inflation expectations are under control.
In brief remarks to the Chicago Fed's financial literacy conference, Evans decried attacks on the central bank's monetary policy independence.
