‘Fifty Shades Darker’ Star Dakota Johnson Likes BDSM? Actress Says It’s ‘Very Beautiful And Tasteful’

Is Dakota Johnson fond of BDSM? Well, maybe not. But in her recent interview, Johnson is keeping an open mind when it comes to the variety of erotic practices made popular by E.L. James’ “Fifty Shades of Darker” trilogy, which has now become a successful movie franchise.

In Vogue magazine’s February 2017 issue, Johnson shared her views about “Fifty Shades of Grey” racy theme — BDSM, a range of erotic practices that includes bondage and discipline, dominance and submission, and sadism and masochism. The 27-year-old star said BDSM “can be very beautiful and tasteful.”

"First of all, there are some very chic avenues in BDSM," Johnson told the publication. "It can be very beautiful and tasteful, and the materials can be luxurious."

Even though not all people are into such practices, Johnson said she admired the “bravery and honesty” of those who are into BDSM. She added “America is still so sexually oppressed."

Reprising her role as Anastasia Steele in “Fifty Shades Darker,” Johnson got candid over the multiple nude and sex scenes in the movie. Johnson’s latest flick, which is set to hit the theaters on Feb. 13, was rated R for strong erotic sexual content and graphic nudity, E! News noted.

"Will I stop doing nude scenes when my boobs start sagging? I don't know," Johnson said. "Maybe I have more of a European mind-set about these things. I don't want to see someone wearing a bra and underwear in a sex scene. Let's be honest about it. People are naked when they [have sex]."

Aside from the NSFW confessions, Johnson also addressed the never-ending rumors that she’s having an affair with “Fifty Shades Darker” co-actor Jamie Dornan. Johnson revealed she and Dornan, who is happily married to Amelia Warner and is a proud dad-of-two, have worked “incredibly closely” for the film, as per Daily Mirror. Johnson added that when it comes to nudity and sex scenes, she and Dornan have no inhibitions, stressing their work relationship was “very honest and very trusting.”

According to USA Today, the “A Bigger Splash” star also talked about her career, where she admitted that she had been waiting for years for someone to give her a chance. Fortunately, Johnson was finally at the right place in her life. She added despite being a “sensitive person,” she thinks she can do anything when she feels safe.
