Mark Hamill is returning for Season 3 of “The Flash.”

Hamill was spotted filming scenes with Grant Gustin and John Wesley Shipp on the set of the CW series on Wednesday, Oct. 19, in Vancouver, Canada. According to Just Jared Jr, the trio appeared to shoot a sequence in which Barry (Gustin), Jay Garrick (Shipp) and the police stop the Trickster (Hamill) from blowing up a building. In addition to the set pics published by Just Jared Jr, a fan also shared a couple of closer shots of Hamill and Shipp via Twitter. See her posts below:

Hamill has already appeared in two episodes of “The Flash.” The “Star Wars” actor made his series debut as the Trickster in Season 1, episode 17, entitled “Tricksters,” and reprised his role in Season 2, Episode 9, called “Running to Stand Still.” Based on the recent set pictures, however, it seems that Hamill is playing a different version of his character in Season 3.

As seen in the photos, the 65-year-old actor seems to be wearing a piece of period clothing, which suggests that the sequence they were shooting is set in 1998 Earth-3.

Hamill first took on the role of the Trickster in the 1990 CBS superhero drama “The Flash,” which also starred Shipp as the Scarlet Speedster. So seeing the two actors face off against each other again — this time on the CW series — is definitely a treat to DC fans.

According to YVRShoots, “The Flash” is currently shooting its Christmas episode.

Next week’s episode of “The Flash,” entitled “The New Rogues,” airs on Tuesday, Oct. 25, at 8 p.m. on The CW. Check out the synopsis for Season 2, episode 4 below:

“Barry continues to train Jesse (Violett Beane) and when a new meta human, Mirror Master (Grey Damon), appears on the scene he lets her tag along. Mirror Master has teamed up with his old partner, Top (Ashley Rickards), and is looking for Snart (Wentworth Miller) to even a score. Jesse is quick to join the chase but defies one of Barry’s orders which results in disastrous consequences.”
