Christopher Dionne, a former HGTV host on the show “Family Flip,” was convicted of child molestation on Wednesday.

According to Fox News, he was sentenced to 3 years in prison and 10 years on probation for being guilty of risk of injury to a minor and fourth-degree sexual assault.

Radar reported that this story first started developing in March 2018 when his victim, a then 10-year female alerted the police of what Dionne did to her and he wound up turning himself in. He was then found guilty in October.

Despite turning himself in, Dionne is maintaining his innocence, local outlet The Day reports. He is still saying that he did not molest his daughter’s friend, and the outlet says he will most likely appeal the court's decision.

During his sentencing hearing, Dionne’s wife, Summer, allegedly said that she had moved and will be divorcing Dionne.

Fox News claims that Summer posted a picture on Instagram with her two children that she shares with Dionne. She reportedly captioned the photo: "So we’re gonna heal. And we’re gonna start anew.”

The victim, who is now 12, has reportedly felt a lot of unnecessary guilt. Since coming forward against the aspiring television host, her family has had to isolate themselves.

“Mom, this ruined everybody’s life. I should have never told. I just wanted to be a normal kid,” the young female said according to her mother via The Day.

Before all his legal trouble, Dionne was filming a show for A&E called “House Rescue” that was ultimately suspended and his former show on HGTV which he did with identical twin brother ran for only one episode in 2015.

In a statement to Fox News, A&E told the outlet that “he was never a host on the channel and nothing he filmed was ever aired” and HGTV told People Magazine “the individual referenced appeared in a pilot that premiered on our network in 2015. The pilot was not picked up for series.”
