At least one person who knows Jeremy Lin believes he will be fine. This person is no other than Fred VanVleet who is confident that the first American-Asian to win an NBA title will eventually get his calling and be back on the basketball court soon. The only problem now though is where he will be signing on for his return.

Speaking to TMZ Sports, the 25-year-old gave his take on Lin claiming he has hit rock bottom. Linsanity remains a free agent this summer and it appears that his frustrations are mounting since no team has come forward to offer him a contract.

"He's gonna be alright. He's gonna land on his feet. He's gonna be alright," he said.

As mentioned in a previous post, Lin does have options outside the NBA. However, a recent report from the South China Morning Post may have just scratched out a possible stint in Russia, with a local news reporter claiming that word of the 30-year-old guard was on the radar of CSKA Moscow is untrue.

"Numerous news kept popping up about Jeremy Lin’s refusal to join CSKA Moscow. However, there were no talks at all. The club was not interested in him, particularly in view of his health condition," said local TASS journalist Andrey Karashov.

A reason cited was that there were concerns about Lin's health. The Harvard graduate has been hampered by injuries the past NBA seasons, a reason why he has failed to complete a full season. And while he was part of the 2018-19 Toronto Raptors champion team, he was hardly a factor after getting picked up back in February.

Lin is apparently aware of this, and it came to a point where he questioned if he is deserving of the NBA title. He eventually realized that he did play a part, no matter how small it was. But the real concern for him right now is whether his pro basketball career would resume or not.

With a Europe stint scratched out, Lin's other alternative outside the NBA right now is a return to China. He could consider a stint with the last team he played for in the Chinese Basketball Association, the Dongguan Leopards.

At the NBA front, a return to the Charlotte Hornets could make sense. It was the same team where he was able to rebound from a forgettable year with the Lakers. Despite a new coach calling the shots in James Borrego, the new mentor's system could be tailor-made for a player of Lin's caliber. Regardless, Lin remains hopeful and is waiting on the wings to figure out what comes next.
