It was reported Wednesday that David Duchovny and his wife Tea Leoni have split for the second time in recent years. The couple is taking time apart but has not officially filed for divorce, according to OK! Magazine.

TMZ reported that sources close to the couple said Duchovny and Leoni have not decided if they will end up getting a divorce. The two were married in 1997.

The briefly split in 2008 but got back together in the end. That same year, the Californication star voluntarily sought help for sex addiction and checked himself into rehab.

The couple has two children together, a 12-year-old daughter, Madelaine West and a 9-year-old son Kyd Miller.

In June 2009, a source told People Magazine that the couple was working on rebuilding their marriage.

Their relationship has really improved. They're still in love. They very much care for each other and whatever happens they are working it out for the kids, the source said.
