Gal Gadot, who shot to fame as “Wonder Woman,” celebrated the fourth anniversary of the movie franchise. She penned some heartwarming lines remembering her standalone film and the iconic role in the DC Extended Universe and said she cannot be grateful enough for the opportunity she received.

The 36-year-old Israeli actress took to Twitter on Thursday and shared a 57-second video of her journey as “Wonder Woman.”

"Wonder Woman came out 4 years ago and changed my life… Thank you all so much for the love, I’m forever grateful for this amazing opportunity and I promise we will always do everything to keep and tell Wonder Woman’s story in the best way possible," she captioned the post.

"Love and Peace!" she concluded.

Patty Jenkins directed the "Wonder Woman" movie, which released in 2017. The action-adventure became an instant hit at the box office and was received well by the critics. Following the success of the first movie, Patty Jenkins directed the sequel "Wonder Woman 1984," which released in December 2020 after several delays.

However, the sequel failed to garner much appreciation but it was successful enough for Warner Bros. to announce the third installment of the franchise. After two days of "Wonder Woman 1984" release, the studio announced that Jenkins will return to direct the third and last installment of the "Wonder Woman" franchise.

The first two movies were filmed in the old era and now fans are speculating that the third installment might be set in a modern timeline. Last year, Jenkins told Entertainment Weekly that she has plans for Wonder Woman 4 as well.

"The story continues after this in movies that I may or may not direct, but I have two more stories that become the completion of this story and it’s all about women stepping in as women, in the most loving kind pure, and natural way," she said, adding: "And making a difference in the world without having to change who they are to do it."

Besides "Wonder Woman," the actress will be seen in a mystery crime drama, "Death on the Nile," slated to release on Feb. 11, 2022. The movie stars Kenneth Branagh, Armie Hammer, Letitia Wright, and Russell Brand.

Gadot will also appear in a superhero movie, "The Flash," which is scheduled to release on Nov. 4, 2022.

15. "Wonder Woman 1984" (directed by Patty Jenkins) - The film faced a lot of delays due to the pandemic and in the end, the makers decided to release it on the big-screen and HBO Max simultaneously. The adventures of “Wonder Woman” continues in the movie that offers vibrant escapism to fans who are still waiting for things to get better during such challenging times. Jenkins and Gal Gadot weave magic with their vision and super performances. Pedro Pascal as Maxwell Lord and Kristen Wiig as Barbara Minerva/Cheetah are also terrific in their respective roles. There are many moments in the movie that would make everyone realize how important it is to have a good heart and compassion. Gadot will surely make you cry in some scenes. Yes, this movie is not as epic as the first one, but it is an amazing movie nonetheless, and one which leaves you with some “hope” for this world.   Wonder Woman/DC
