It will still be several more months before “Justice League” hits the big screen, but Gal Gadot, who plays the heroine Wonder Woman, is already getting fans excited for its release.

In honor of director Zack Snyder’s birthday, the actress posted a sneak peek of the upcoming movie on her Instagram account. In it, Snyder can be seen directing behind the scenes while Gadot is in front of the camera. Gadot then wrote a touching birthday greeting for him.

What’s going to come first before “Justice League” is the standalone film of Gadot’s character, Diana Prince. “Wonder Woman” is directed by Patty Jenkins and produced by Deborah Snyder, and it is set during the time of World War I. In the movie, Wonder Woman will meet and fall in love with Steve Trevor (Chris Pine), who somehow finds his way to Themyscira and enlists the help of the Amazon warrior to save mankind.

Gadot is hopeful that the movie will be well-received by fans and that her character will inspire people to spread love instead of hate. “With this character, what I love about her so much is that her agenda is love. It’s not about fighting, it’s not about who is stronger than whom; it’s not about women versus men. It’s about love, and acceptance of others. She stands for love, justice and compassion,” she said during a chat with We Got This Covered.

She even told Sci-Fi Now that fans will witness a different side of Wonder Woman in her solo film, since she is “more naive” and “pure” compared to the older version of her in “Batman v Superman.” Gadot added that Diana is “a young idealist who does not yet understand the complexities of life.”

“Wonder Woman” will be released on June 2, while “Justice League” will hit cinemas on Nov. 17.
