The Samsung Galaxy A7 has been available for purchase in various parts of the world, but it has now finally been made available to the U.S. market as well. Though Samsung has not released the device officially in North America, buyers can now order the handset through Amazon, claims Phone Arena.

On Amazon, the unlocked Galaxy S7 dual-SIM smartphone is available with a price tag of $442 complete with free shipping. The handset is available in three color options -- black, white and gold. However, the retailer giant is selling only the black-and-white versions.

The Galaxy A7 Duos belongs to the A series models from Samsung that include other models like the Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3. Among the three models, the A7 is the most powerful smartphone. The Galaxy A7 is the thinnest smartphone manufactured by the South Korea tech giant, at 6.3 millimeters (about one-quarter inch) thick. It weighs 141 grams (about 5 ounces).

The handset measures 151 millimeters x 76.2 millimeters (5.94 inches x 3 inches) and sports a 5.5-inch (1379.7-millimeter) Super AMOLED display that supports full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by Exynos 5430 chipset that houses an octa-core processor. The SoC is supported by 2 GB of RAM. The native storage of the device is 16 GB. On the expandable storage, users can add a max of 64 GB microSD.

The device is fitted with a 13-megapixel rear camera, and on the front, it houses a 5-megapixel camera. The handset was launched with Android v4.4.4 KitKat OS. However, at present, the device is receiving a Lollipop update. Last, the device is equipped with a decent battery of 2,600 mAh capacity.

Phone Arena adds that are not many Galaxy A7 units in stock on Amazon. It assumes that supplies will be replenished soon. The handset is also manufactured in another chipset variant of Snapdragon 615. It is currently unavailable for purchase in the U.S.

One must be aware of the fact that the Galaxy A7 devices available for purchase on Amazon do not support 4G LTE connectivity. However, it is available with 3G connectivity on A&T and T-Mobile along with dual SIM capabilities.
