Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the production of “General Hospital” has been halted. However, to preserve the new episodes, each Friday will feature an encore presentation of an old episode.

This means on Friday, April 10, ABC will not be airing a new episode of “GH.” Viewers, who tune into the network during the soap opera’s regular time slot, will be greeted with an episode from July 30, 2018.

During this time in Port Charles, Carly (Laura Wright) had reached her breaking point at Ferncliff after Nelle (Chloe Lanier) convinced everyone that Carly intentionally pushed her down the stairs while she was pregnant.

Carly was being held in Ferncliff and was being forced to do special treatments that altered her perspective of reality. Luckily, Jason (Steve Burton) was worried about his best friend and broke into Ferncliff to come to her rescue.

Elsewhere, Michael (Chad Duell) was busy manipulating Nelle into confessing all of the crimes she committed. Unfortunately, his plan spiraled out of control, and their car crashed knocking the soon-to-be parents unconsciously.

Nelle woke up and told Michael she would go and get help, but he knew she was leaving him for dead. Luckily, his father was monitoring the situation and tracked Michael’s location in enough time to save his life.

Later on, Nelle finds herself going into labor on the side of the road and Liesl (Kathleen Gati) finds her after she escapes custody. Viewers are aware that this will lead to Brad (Parry Shen) and Nelle’s baby swap storyline.

Nowadays, everyone in Port Charles is aware that the two swapped babies and Nelle is now battling Micheal for full custody of their son, Wiley (Erik and Theo Olson).

Viewers will have to wait until next week to see what happens in Michael and Nelle’s custody battle.

“General Hospital” airs weekdays at 3 p.m. EDT on ABC.
