Former middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin is still considering his options for a new broadcast partner as there is now a new contender for his signature.

Golovkin is currently without a broadcast home after HBO dropped its coverage of boxing in September. It was reported last month that his two main options were streaming service DAZN or ESPN in conjunction with Top Rank Boxing, and that he would make his decision before the end of the year.

However, according to Ring Magazine's Mike Coppinger, Premier Boxing Champions (PBC), broadcast on Showtime and FOX, is also an option for the Kazakh. Golovkin was a guest of PBC during the Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury fight over the weekend and met with their officials in a "productive" meeting.

Coppinger adds that should he fight at PBC, there are attractive options such as a fight with contender Jermall Charlo or with champions like Jarrett Hurd and Errol Spence Jr. who could move up in weight.

ESPN on the other hand, don't offer much in attractive fights for Golovkin, but unlike the other two, have the most exposure. Top Rank are expected to meet with the 36-year-old before he makes his decision. DAZN though, still seem to be the favorites.

Canelo Alvarez signed a record-breaking 5-year, 11-fight, $365 million deal with DAZN in October after controversially defeating Golovkin via unanimous decision in their September rematch. "GGG" was expected to follow him there as it represented his best chance of getting a lucrative trilogy fight with the Mexican.

Coppinger notes, however, that Golovkin still "doesnt like" Alvarez after his failed drug tests earlier this year, and doesn't want to do business with him. In addition, he feels even with a trilogy fight, the judges will rob him once again.

However, money talks and DAZN will likely be the most lucrative option as Coppinger adds.

"DAZN chairman John Skipper, the former head honcho at ESPN, travelled from Japan to Los Angeles for a Tuesday meeting with GGG, according to sources," Coppinger wrote. "Skipper was accompanied by promoter Eddie Hearn, who is embedded with the fledgling streaming service."

If Golovkin signed with DAZN, Alvarez would be open to a third fight. The middleweight champion will first take on Rocky Fielding in a super middleweight title fight in New York on Dec. 15.

“It’s a fight that could happen," Alvarez said. “You know, down the line it could happen. We have a fight on Dec. 15 first, but it’s a fight that could totally happen. If the fans want it, if the people want it and it’s in demand, it totally could happen. But that’s further down the line. We’re focused on this fight now."
