• Arataki Itto is an upcoming 5-star character in "Genshin Impact"
  • Itto is a half-oni who wields a claymore and the power of Geo to battle
  • He is one of the few characters to have the adult male body type in the game

After months of speculation and wishful thinking, the official design for “Genshin Impact’s” rumored Arataki Itto has finally been revealed.

The official character art for Itto was posted on Twitter by miHoYo’s official “Genshin Impact” account, featuring the upcoming 5-star Geo character in all his splendor. His character art matches the leaks that supposedly showed Itto’s in-game model, making them a lot more credible than ever before.

Dubbed the “First and Greatest Head of the Arataki Gang,” Itto is a man with crimson horns and a very muscular build. Hailing from Inazuma, Itto appears to be half-man and half-oni as implied by miHoYo’s tweet.

Itto will be the first oni to appear in-game, as the rest of the purebloods of his race have only been mentioned in passing by some of the Inazuman NPCs around the city. The only other oni to appear in “Genshin” media was Mikoshi Chiyo, one of Raiden Ei’s friends, who went mad after getting consumed by a great beast. She appeared in the Raiden Shogun’s “Nightmare” teaser.

The reveal of Itto’s design confirms that he will be a Geo-based claymore user, and his unique weapon will be a large, spiked club bearing the signature color scheme of Morax and the Geo element. His abilities have not yet been revealed but if leaks and rumors are to be trusted, then he will be a selfish DPS character with shields, self-sustain and a passive that increases his combat potential the longer he remains on the battlefield.

YouTuber Arctic covered Arataki Itto’s leaked abilities in this video:

It’s likely that Itto will be released as one of the featured 5-star character banners in Patch 2.3, along with Gorou. The upcoming 2.2 update already has Childe and Hu Tao’s rerun banners scheduled for the coming weeks, which means Itto and Gorou’s banners won’t be available any time soon.

Fans are already in love with Itto’s design, from his clear masculine appeal to the fact that he has the rare adult male body archetype, something that only four other characters in the game have (Diluc, Childe, Kaeya and Zhongli).
