"Genshin Impact" developer miHoYo has released more details about the featured character arriving in the game a few days from now. The banner is the developer's way of introducing new content in the game to keep things fresh and exciting. Here are essential things players should know about the Ganyu Banner.

Ganyu Banner Release Date

The banner is set to start on Jan. 12 and Ganyu will be the featured banner character. miHoYo has not yet revealed official details about the start time and duration of the upcoming banner.

How To Get Ganyu

Like all other legendary five-star characters introduced in the game, players can take advantage of the pity system to secure a five-star pull. The pity system was introduced to ensure that players get a five-star character or item at around 90 to 100 pulls.

For players who want to get Ganyu and are close to their 90th pull, it would be smart to save Primogems until her banner launches. Players have a 50% chance of pulling Ganyu, which means that they could make no more than 180 wishes to pull the featured character.

Items To Collect Ahead Of Ganyu's Arrival

An image shared on Reddit reveals detailed information about upgrading Ganyu. It claims that her talents require Nectar-themed items, Diligence talent books, Shadow of the Warrior and three Crowns of Insight. To unlock her level caps ann ascend her, players would reportedly need a mix of Shiva Jade, Nectar-themed items, Qingxin and Hoarfrost Core.

For the Diligence talent books, players can find all three as drops from the Taishan Mansion domain in Liyue. The Crown of Insights is usually obtained from "Genshin Impact" events, but players could get one when they upgrade the Frostbearing Tree in Dragonspine to Level 11.

Meanwhile, the Shadow of the Warrior can be acquired after defeating Tartaglia in the Enter the Golden House Trounce Domain. Nectars or Nectar-themed items, on the other hand, are obtained after killing the Whopperflower.

"Genshin Impact" is available on PC, PlayStation 4, iOS and Android devices. The game is in development for PS5 and Nintendo Switch.
